Molly has been learning new words every day - just yesterday she started saying "bagel" and "turkey". She LOVES eating bagels and now she can say the word! Although she pronounces it "buggle". And when we saw some wild turkeys, she said "tuh-key"! Today she learned to say "monkey" after looking at her Curious George book. It's pretty amazing to watch her progress - it can be very slow for months, then she'll have a burst all at once and pick up a bunch of new tricks. For instance, we've been listening to her CD of songs from our "Music Together" class for months now, but just in the last week she's started to sing along to them.
Yesterday we had a very funny experience. We got her all undressed in preparation for putting her in the bath. We were running the water for the bath, so we weren't ready to put her in yet. She was running happily along from room to room, all naked and adorable. When we were ready to put her in, I went to her room to get her. I found that she had peed on the floor - not that common, but when she has done it before it has been right at the side of the bathtub waiting to get in. This time it was on her floor in her room, on her rug. But.... luckily for all of us she peed right on a magazine that was on the rug. She didn't get any mess on the rug itself. Our daughter is so brilliant - she's paper trained!

We're Back to Normal (Sort of)
So, it's been a while since I've updated this blog. It's totally the fault of dealing with a new job and moving to a new house. It's been exhausting, to say the least. But I have a bunch of photos to post, so hopefully that makes up for the gap in posts. I hope that we're sort of getting back into a rhythm these days.
Molly is learning so much every day. She understands almost everything we say to her, and she's learning to speak more each day. Her current favorite word is "sock" - she loves pulling off and putting her socks back on. She takes off her shoes and socks during every car ride, no matter how brief. She can also say (when she feels like it): apple, jump, pee pee, poo poo, bunny, turtle, and her old favorite, duck.
We're also trying to get more food into her, now that she can eat dairy. Bizarrely, she doesn't like cheese! Who ever heard of such a thing? We're still offering it, though - it's new to her, so hopefully she just has to get used to it.
Anyway, on to the photos!:
Molly helping to rake the leaves. She loves playing on our new lawn!
Our little piglet loved Halloween. My new office had trick-or-treating around the halls, and once she got the hang of it, Molly LOVED it. She was hitting all the offices, gathering candy for Mom and Dad to eat. Yum!
She is also getting better at using utensils. Here she is enjoying Sunday morning oatmeal.
See how proud she is?
My two favorite people.
